In addition to any legal or contractual claims and rights, KATEK Memmingen GmbH grants a warranty for the products specified.
This warranty applies exclusively to StecaGrid Inverters uniquely identified by their serial number. Excluded from this warranty are wearing parts, such as fuses, and other components of the photovoltaic systems, such as modules or components for system monitoring and data communication. Other accessories and pre-production devices are also excluded.
A claim under this warranty can only be made by the owner of the warranty product. No other person shall have any rights under this warranty. If the ownership of the warranty product changes, the remaining warranty period is transferred.
A warranty claim can only be made if a warranty product develops a fault for which KATEK Memmingen GmbH is responsible during the warranty period.
KATEK Memmingen GmbH grants a warranty for a period of 24 months starting with the date of purchase stated on the invoice, or 30 months starting with the date of production. The warranty ends with the earlier expiry date of these periods. This period is extended to a total of 60 months after purchase-or 66 month after date of production-if the StecaGrid Inverter is registered online at https://www.steca.com/index.php?Commercial_guarantee_extension before the original warranty expires.
If devices or parts are replaced, the remaining warranty period is transferred to the replacement part or device.
In the event of a warranty claim, the warranty holder must first notify his installer/supplier, who in turn will contact KATEK Memmingen GmbH or an official local service partner.
The procedure in the event of a warranty claim must be agreed with KATEK or the service partner. Warranty claims must be accompanied with:
KATEK or the service partner will decide to either repair the device or part or to replace it with an equivalent device or part. The warranty holder must return parts or devices in the original packaging or equivalent.
Advanced replacement may be possible depending on the location of the warranty device. If the faulty device isn’t received within 30 days, the warranty holder will be charged for the replacement device. It is the responsibility of the warranty holder to substantiate the warranty claim and show that the conditions are met.
A claim for compensation cannot be made for energy that has not been fed into the grid or energy that has not been used for self-consumption, etc.

The benefits to the consumer given by this manufacturer’s warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies of the consumer that are stipulated by law, and which are not affected by this manufacturer’s warranty.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Previously valid warranty conditions are replaced by these conditions.
